9:12 PM Iceland Time
This blog is going to be a bit short, I’m a bit tired. Today
I didn’t have to work, so I went to explore a bit of Iceland’s nature. We went
to see the geothermal tomato farm, Geiser and Gullfoss! I can’t express or
explain how infinitely beautiful Iceland is. It has been constantly taking my
breath away!
After we got back, I finally got a turn to make dinner!
Skarpi always enjoys cooking, and everything he has made has been amazing. I
wanted to be able to return the favor somehow, so I made him some roasted
vegetables and falafels before watching the world cup match. He seemed to like it! Today Iceland
played Croatia; and man was it an intense match! Iceland did a great job, but unfortunately,
they lost. We were very sad, but Iceland fought hard! It has been a neat experience
to see how the world cup has brought everyone together as a country. I can definitely
see that there is a “futbol religion” here! Haha.
I finally heard back from my volunteer placement
coordinator, so I will be starting more work tomorrow morning. She says that I
have quite a few things for me to do, so I am excited to see what they have in
store for me! Stay tuned for tomorrow!
